Our botanical designs share an earthy palette, but the garments have different fabrics and sizing. Start with the material you prefer, then compare the measurements on the product page.
How to compare the size guide
Lay a garment you enjoy wearing flat without stretching it, and fasten any buttons. Chest width is measured straight across from one underarm seam to the other; it is half the garment chest, rather than your body circumference. Length runs from the highest shoulder point beside the collar to the hem.
For shorts, lay the waistband flat and relaxed. Waist width is half the garment waist. Compare the inseam and front rise as well as width. Each product’s guide includes its measurement tolerance, and lets you compare inches and centimeters. Offered size and color combinations differ between products.
Classic cotton tees
100% Airlume combed and ring-spun cotton in the offered solid colors. 142 g/m² jersey. Regular fit. Compare with a tee you like to wear.
These classic tees are conventional cotton. First Stem — Organic Cotton is a separate garment with different sizing and fabric weight. Compare the botanical tees for chest-only, front and back print placements.
The separate organic cotton tee
First Stem — Organic Cotton has an olive stem at the wearer’s left chest and a plain back. 100% organic ring-spun cotton. 180 g/m² jersey. Regular fit with EU sizing. US customers should order a size up. Compare the measurements with a tee you like to wear.

Oversized botanical button shirts
Oversized fit. Compare with a button shirt for the amount of room you prefer. US/Mexico fulfillment: 100% recycled polyester. EU/Latvia fulfillment: 65% recycled polyester and 35% polyester. 110 g/m² for US/Mexico fulfillment; 100 g/m² for EU/Latvia fulfillment.
Fulfillment location can vary, and comparable fabric may be substituted when stock is low. A US delivery address does not guarantee the US/Mexico fabric. These are polyester shirts, rather than cotton or linen. The fabrics may release plastic microfibers during washing. Compare Open Grove, Olive Shade and Clay Canopy.
Relaxed cotton blend shorts
Quiet Stem Shorts uses 95% cotton and 5% elastane. 300 g/m². Relaxed unisex fit. The Sand / Olive design places one small stem on the wearer’s left front leg and leaves the back plain.
Sand / Olive is the offered colorway. Organic or recycled content has not been verified for these shorts.
Caring for your clothing
For the printed cotton tees: Wash inside out on a cold, gentle cycle with mild detergent and similar colors. Avoid fabric softener. Hang dry or tumble dry on low. If needed, iron inside out on a cool setting, avoiding the print. Do not dry clean. Follow the garment care label.
For button shirts and shorts, follow the care label inside the garment for washing, drying and ironing instructions. The label takes precedence if instructions differ.
How the designs are shown
Botanica’s original stem and branch artwork ranges from small chest marks to repeating all-over patterns. Product galleries include front and back garment views so you can inspect the design placement, alongside lifestyle illustrations. Those illustrations are styling references; they do not establish physical sample quality or customer endorsements.
